Anuvia Plant Nutrients introduces new plant nutrition product

Company opens first production facility in central Florida.

Anuvia Plant Nutrients has introduced GreenTRX 16-1-2-17S-3Fe, a homogenous, enhanced-efficiency plant nutrition product formulated specifically to meet the needs of turf. It uses the power of the Organic MaTRX, a novel slow-release system, to deliver vital nutrients to turf while enriching the soil.

Production of GreenTRX 16-1-2-17S-3Fe began in April. Anuvia Plant Nutrients held a grand opening May 10 for the first production facility for the product in Zellwood, Fla., near Orlando.

Anuvia’s Organic MaTRX, made to mimic organic matter in soil, is the foundation of the company’s product line, said Amy Yoder, Anuvia Plant Nutrients CEO. “It delivers nutrients in an intuitive and highly effective way,” she said. “This innovative approach can help cultivate strong, beautiful turf in a uniquely natural way.”

GreenTRX 16-1-2-17S-3Fe provides a predictable release over time, said David Barnes, turf agronomist and owner of Southeast Partners. The company tested it under extreme conditions, at varying grass heights and on seedlings. “It performed marvelously,” Barnes said.

The timed release is important to Grant Backus, superintendent of Dolphin Head Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C. “No superintendent that I know likes it when grass growth explodes,” he said. “Budgets are tight and the less we have to mow, the better. Slow release over the season gives us the green, tight grass we want, without excessive mowing.”

GreenTRX 16-1-2-17S-3Fe represents a sustainable solution for the turf industry and supports the 4R Nutrient Stewardship initiative (“the Right fertilizer source, the Right rate, at the Right time and with the Right placement”) for effective management of nutrient delivery. Organic materials are its foundation. By using reclaimed organic materials, the Anuvia process produces a highly effective plant nutrient product while supporting the environment and contributing to the circular economy.

For golf courses, GreenTRX 16-1-2-17S-3Fe comes in granular, intermediate and elite sizes and can be applied using standard equipment. Nutrient delivery lasts six to eight weeks. Benefits include better plant nutrient use, excellent turf safety, reduced nutrient loss, even feeding, deep greening and improved soil health.
