Green Velvet announced that Amy Dearinger has joined the company as a technical sales representative. Dearinger brings nearly two decades of professional turf experience from working on golf courses to selling proven products back to the Columbus, Ohio, market.
“I’m so thankful for this opportunity,” Dearinger said. “The Central Ohio turf market has always been so welcoming, and I’m excited to continue to grow those relationships as well as develop new ones. I cannot wait to hit the ground running and become a resource once again for all my turf brothers and sisters. It’s great to be back. This Bluegrass gal is proud to be an official Buckeye!”
Dearinger is a knowledgeable turfgrass expert who has a long history of utilizing her technical expertise to solve agronomic challenges on the country’s best golf courses. She has a background of evaluating NTEP seed trials, researching Roundup-ready bentgrass, and conducting research on the efficacy of foliar products – most recently at Baylor University. Dearinger and Green Velvet aim to provide bespoke customer service, industry-leading knowledge and timely deliveries on company-owned trucks with forklift service.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Amy Dearinger to our team,” general manager Nick Janovich said. “Her unparalleled expertise and knowledge will serve our Central Ohio customers well. Further, her motivation to provide exceptional customer service meshes well with Green Velvet’s legacy of serving the industry’s T&O needs since 1959.”
