Amelia River Golf Club adds ProLink GPS

The Florida facility will use the GPS system and on-course advertising opportunity.

Amelia River Golf Club, Amelia Island, Fla., now features the ProLink Solutions GPS system and plans to participate in ProLink’s exclusive national advertising opportunity.

Part of a formidable foursome at Amelia Island Plantation, Amelia River joins the resort’s Long Point, Oak Marsh and Ocean Links courses in featuring ProLink GPS.

“Playing to the proper spots is a must for golfers hoping to score well at Amelia River, and they get a big boost from the ProLink GPS system,” says Robert Dugger, director of golf at Amelia Island Plantation. “Having used ProLink at our other courses, we appreciate the benefits it provides to management such as better pace of play, excellent tournament scoring capabilities, and increased revenues from the food-and-beverage and advertising functions.”

With ProLink’s 10.4-inch high-resolution color screen – the industry’s largest – Amelia River’s cart-mounted units display dynamic, easy-to-read graphics including distances to the pin and hazards, pro tips, pace-of-play timer and radial arc for cart-path-only holes. Golfers at Amelia River will also be able to order food and beverage items with a touch of a button on the ProLink screen.
