Aloft insecticide receives California registration

Arysta LifeScience announces its product is now registered for use in California.

Arysta LifeScience North America turf and ornamental products has announced that Aloft™ Insecticide is now registered for use in California. Aloft is the only product to provide both quick knockdown on multiple life stages of early-season adults and surface-feeding pests, and systemic activity for season-long residual control of all white grubs. The product comes in both granular and advanced SC liquid polymeric formulations with highly developed dispersant and spreading agents for improved application, according to the company.

“We are pleased to have obtained Aloft registration and use in California, because it is an area where many of the pests on the Aloft label are prevalent, particularly sod webworms, cutworms, armyworms, and European crane fly,” states Dr. Doug Houseworth, Arysta LifeScience T&O technical service representative. “The quick knockdown of bifenthrin on earlyseason adults and surface-feeding pests, combined with the season-long systemic activity of clothianidin for control of all white grubs, plus any escaped larvae from adult or surface-feeder eggs laid prior to Aloft application, is what sets it apart” Houseworth indicates.

“Aloft enables California superintendents and lawn turf managers to control all major insect pests in just one treatment, with significantly greater application flexibility, any time from April to early September, whenever it best fits their crew schedules and workloads,” states Michael Maravich, turf and ornamentals product manager at Arysta LifeScience. “In short, Aloft provides the total insect control package in one product”.
