Air Sofia intends to build fourth golf course

Air Sofia intends to build a fourth golf course, company's president Lilian Todorov told the Pari daily. Air Sofia is currently searching for an appropriate land lot near the capital to build the new facility, which will be of higher class than the one near Ihtiman, Sofia region.

Air Sofia's second golf course was opened near Sliven, southeastern Bulgaria, in May, and the third is to be constructed near Razgrad, in the northeastern part of the country.

A golf course should be built only on a land lot that is owned by the company which is to operate the facility, Todorov said. A concession is an attractive form only if it will last for more than 50 years, Todorov added. The company plans to launch own production of buggies near the Ihtiman golf ground.
