Advanced Turf Solutions acquires Long Island, NYC distributor

Advanced Turf Solutions, Inc., an independent and employee-owned distributor of turf and ornamental products, reached an agreement to acquire substantially all assets of Nassau Suffolk Turf Services, Inc.

Nassau Suffolk Turf Services is a respected green industry distributor that has been serving customers on Long Island and in the New York City area for more than 25 years. Just like Advanced Turf Solutions, NST was founded with the goal of forming true relationships with customers and a deep commitment to quality and service.

In addition to embodying the service-oriented traits ATS values, NST has a track record of selling many of the product lines ATS promotes, including Foliar-Pak and ArmorTech, as well as equipment from Steel Green Manufacturing.

“There’s so much overlap between ATS and NST already, that joining forces feels right,” ATS CEO Scott Brame said. “NST’s team brings a wealth of knowledge and many loyal customers to the table, and together, we’re going to be able to offer those customers, and new ones, so much more.” 

Through the acquisition, customers will have access to ATS’s robust product catalog and benefit from its logistical and technological capabilities, which include the ATS Shop, the company’s new online store.

“As part of Advanced Turf Solutions, we’re excited to be able to offer an even better experience to our customers while maintaining the same personalized service they’ve come to know and expect,” NST co-owner Tom Stylarek said.

The transaction is scheduled to close early this year, at which time ATS will welcome the entire NST team into the fold.

“This next chapter allows us to take the relationships we’ve formed over the years as NST and build on them,” NST co-owner Kevin Leek said. “We’ll keep running like we always have, but under a new name, with a wider selection of products, and as part of one of the largest distribution networks in the industry this side of the Mississippi.”

The acquisition marks ATS’s third major expansion in the Northeast in recent years, following the acquisitions of two other distributors, Valley Green, Inc. in 2022 and Atlantic Golf and Turf LLC in 2025.
