A superintendent's grand slam

A Canadian superintendent has worked on the maintenance crew at each of the four majors on the PGA Tour.

Though he's only 32 years old, Kerry Watkins, superintendent at St. Charles Country Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba, has already completed the "superintendent's grand slam," according to the Winnipeg Sun.

He's has worked on the crew at each of the four majors on the PGA Tour -- the Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open and the PGA Championship.

"You go there and be a sponge," Watkins told the newspaper. "You come back, implement the idea, customize it into the setting we're at, so it works for us. You learn so many things just by being a part of it."
