Daniel Kaleikau, an undergraduate student at University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., was among 31 students who recently received one of the 2006 Bayer Undergraduate Scholarships. The scholarships are for $250, $500 or $1,000. Kaleikau received a $1,000 reward to help his pursuit of a bachelor of science degree in turfgrass management.
Brycen Meng, an undergraduate at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., received an Undergraduate Scholarship for $500. Meng is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in horticulture, with a focus on golf course management. A full list of winners and their schools appears below.
Kaleikau and Meng were among the latest group of students who were awarded scholarships to help advance their academic efforts in Green Industry studies.
The Bayer Undergraduate Scholarship recognizes students pursuing careers in the Green Industry who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership skills.
