Industry veterans announce new company

Oregon-based Vista Seed Partners will supply turfgrass products.

A team of turf-industry veterans has announced the formation of Vista Seed Partners. Based in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Vista Seed Partners will supply custom and proprietary turfgrass and forage products to customers nationwide, backed by highly personalized service and outstanding technical support.

“In our experience, customers are looking for more than access to great product,” said
partner Chris McDowell. “They want a reliable partner who can help them grow their business by providing a high level of customization, expert technical support, and exceptional service and follow-through. That’s our vision for Vista Seed Partners.”

The company’s founding partners, turf-industry veterans Chris McDowell, Marissa McDowell and Mandi Mack, are confident that their new venture is off to a strong start.

“We have long-term, trusted partnerships with growers, distributors and technical experts that we’ll be able to leverage out of the gate on behalf of our customers,”
McDowell said.

One of those technical experts is Dr. Jerry Pepin, a leading authority on turfgrass breeding, who will head the company’s product development program and provide technical counsel to customers.
Vista Seed Partners has a full line of turfgrass and forage products currently available, including its own three-way ryegrass and three-way fescue blends.

The company will be attending many industry shows and conferences, including the November 2014 Western Seed Association Conference in Kansas City and the Golf Industry Show in San Antonio in February 2015.
