The Topeka (Kan.) Country Club is honoring golf course superintendent Leo Pellant for 35 years of service at the club.

Pellant started his career at the club on Aug. 12, 1979 as assistant superintendent after graduating from Kansas State University with a bachelor of science in landscape horticulture with an emphasis in turfgrass science. In 1997, Pellant was promoted to golf course superintendent and has been serving TCC at that capacity ever since.
In celebration of this accomplishment, TCC presented Pellant and his wife, Keven, with an all-expense paid trip to Italy to mark this special achievement.
“One of my favorite things in the job has been working with the different kids who’ve come through," Pellant said. "I have worked with two generations of families and have seen many go on to become doctors, lawyers and very successful in their endeavors. Time has flown by in the blink of an eye. Topeka has been a wonderful community for my wife and I. I’m happy to say I’ve had no regrets in those 35 years.”
