Golf Maintenance Solutions founders Bill Nauroth and Dean Wochaski announced that an agreement has been reached for GMS to be the provider of golf course maintenance services to the Capital City Country Club in Tallahassee, Fla.
"We are excited to partner with Capital City Country Club," Wochaski said. "Our goal is to bring the course to the level of conditioning the membership and the course deserves."

Wochaski and Dave Downing, the Southeast Regional Agronomist, will work together to provide a smooth transition for the employees and begin implementing the plan to elevate and maintain consistent playing surfaces.
In 1908, Tallahassee Country Club was organized and operated as a few holes of golf with sand greens. In 1924, the club officially incorporated and nine holes of regulation golf were built throughout the 1920s. In 1935, the property was given to the city of Tallahassee. The city then hired famed golf course architect A.W. Tillinghast to expand the course to 18 holes. In 1956, the city was facing many capital expenditures and had been operating at a deficit. The city then leased the property to what is now the Capital City Country Club.
"Being able to care for a course that has been touched by Tillinghast is indeed an honor," Wochaski said. "The topography of the land is unlike any course in Florida we have ever seen. It reminds you of playing a golf course in the northeast with the up and down terrain."
"We are fortunate to have found Golf Maintenance Solutions," Capital City Country Club President Jim Pfeil said. "Within the first 20 minutes of meeting with Dean, we knew GMS was who we needed to care for our course."
