Hamilton Farm hires Jason Harrison as director grounds

New Jersey facility features 36 holes.

Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, N.J., has hired Jason Harrison as director of grounds.

Harrison is a native of New Jersey and began his career in the golf course agronomic business in 1995. He is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in turfgrass anagement. Most recently, Hamilton was the director of golf course maintenance at Worcester Country Club, in Worcester Mass., where the first Ryder Cup matches were held. Prior to Worcester CC, he spent time at Huntingdon Valley Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, Pa., and also Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa., where he was one of the senior assistants to prepare the East Course for the 2005 United States Amateur.

“I am excited to be part of the management team at Hamilton Farm, and look forward to maintaining the property to exceed members and guests expectations,” Harrison said.

Additionally, Harrison was the construction superintendant with Total Turf Services that specialized in golf course renovation work, and supervised construction projects of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and drainage systems. His background in tournament operations includes local and national USGA events as well as PGA and LPGA events. Other experiences include internships at Metedeconk National Golf Club and Wykagyl Country Club.
