Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club has announced that PGA Professional Brian Rashley has been named Director of Golf for the 36-hole facility, and home of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

In his new role at Seaview, Rashley will oversee all golf operations for the club, including golf and grounds maintenance, tournaments and outings, and all sales and marketing initiatives.  Rashley, who has been on the golf staff at Seaview since 2009, has held a variety of positions at the resort, including stints as head golf professional, associate golf professional and golf shop supervisor.

Rashley, who was born and raised in North Wales, Pa., and currently resides in Mays Landing, N.J., with his wife Samantha, is a graduate of the professional golf management program at Methodist University, where he received  a degree in business administration and with a concentration in professional golf management in 2009.

“I am thrilled to assume the position of Director of Golf at Seaview, which is a facility that boasts over 100 years of great golf tradition,” Rashley said. “Our golf team takes great pride in providing our members and guests at Seaview with a personalized and unique experience that combines superior customer service and top tier playing conditions.  In my new role, we will continue the mission of upholding the highest service standards at Seaview, grow the game within the local market and operate the facility in a manner that exceeds the expectations of our ownership and management companies.”

“We are excited that Brian is taking over the golf operations at Seaview,” said  Darrell Morgan, vice president, Troon.  “There is no better candidate to fill this position, as he has spent several years gaining valuable experience in managing this resort golf facility. We expect Brian and his team to continue driving the golf experience and programming at Seaview to new heights.”

Located just minutes from Atlantic City, Seaview’s unique and historical resort setting is home to 36 holes of championship golf on two of New Jersey’s oldest and most prestigious golf courses. The links-style Bay Course, home to the ShopRite LPGA Classic, was designed by legendary architect Donald Ross, while the critically acclaimed Pines Course, with its scenic parkland setting, offers the inherent beauty of Southern New Jersey’s pine forest landscape.

Seaview boasts an unrivaled golf history in the region, having hosted presidents, movie stars, royalty, entertainers and of course professional golfers, including some of the game’s greatest players such as Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Nancy Lopez, Annika Sorenstam and Betsy King, among many others. Most notably, the Bay Course hosted the 1942 PGA Championship where the legendary Sam Snead holed a spectacular 60-foot chip shot on the 37th hole to secure a 2-1 victory over Jim Turnesa and capture the first of his seven major championships.
