What brings a fighter to a golf show?
“First off, starting with KHI management and (NASCAR driver) Kevin Harvick and (director of business development) Josh Jones they got me to do the E-Z-GO and Bad Boy Buggie side of it, and I love it. I own a Bad Boy Buggie at home. Here we are at a golf convention, just expanding and growing the product and my own self. It’s an honor. It’s just cool.”
Do you play golf?
“I do. I’m terrible. I can drive the ball like crazy, but my short game is awful.”
How does being on a golf course compare to being in an octagon?
“It’s totally slow. On the golf course, if we had full contact where I could run up and check my buddy, it would be a little different. It’s fun, though, playing golf. You can go out there and really not care about the score then it’s fun. When it’s serious like it was the KHI golf tournament, where everyone was real serious, I need have three Jack and Cokes.”

How do these vehicles fit your personality?
“I’m a lake guy. I have a lake house. When we park the boat, I need something to get people up from the dock to the house. We have a Bad Boy Buggie, which is a four-seater. It definitely fits my personality. We live a lake life and roll them around.”
What are you impressions of your first golf industry event?
“They were walking me around and showing me all the different vehicles they need to cut the courses. I didn’t realize how in-depth it is. It’s insane. It’s just insane the technology you need.”
When is your next fight and will play golf before it?
“It’s May 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada. I will have to play golf out there. They have these courses with 14-inch cups. That’s where I’m terrible, on the putting. You can’t miss on those things.”
