In this role, Chris will be responsible for overseeing all agronomic programs at IMG-managed clubs in the region and will work closely with superintendents to develop and implement agronomic plans.
May brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having most recently spent four years as director of agronomy at the highly acclaimed Shanqin Bay Golf Club in Hainan, China. Previously, Chris worked as director of agronomy at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and prior to that, at the exclusive Sandy Lane Golf Club in Barbados. He is originally from Wisconsin.
“We are excited to welcome Chris to the team as his knowledge and international experience will be a great asset to our growing portfolio of courses,” said Paul Burley, vice president, IMG Golf. “With over 20 managed clubs across Asia Pacific, it is vital the playing conditions at each of our courses are consistently at world-class standards, and we’re confident that Chris will make an immediate positive impact and contribute to the further growth of our business.”
