Reinders conference scheduled for March 11-12

Event will begin company’s 150th anniversary celebration.

Reinders will return to the Waukesha Expo Center in suburban Milwaukee, Wis., for its 22nd Green Industry Conference, March 11-12.  The company is kicking off its 150th anniversary celebration with a show theme of “Celebrating Our Past with Our Eyes on the Future.”  The event features educational sessions, a tradeshow with over 80 leading suppliers and manufacturers, hot homemade donuts each morning, lunch, raffle prizes and refreshments each afternoon.

A world class program of more than 35 seminars is scheduled.  A partial list of guest speakers and topics includes:  Dr. Joe Vargas of Michigan State University will address “Pesticides: Perception vs Reality;” Dr. Leah Brilman of Seed Research will provide insights into “Putting Your Seed Investment In Play;” Bob Vavrek of the USGA Green Section will discuss the topic of “The Evolution of Diagnostic Aids for Turf Management:  Tools or Toys?;” Dr. Jim Kerns of North Carolina State University will provide tips for “Maximizing Turfgrass Health Under Budgetary Constraints;” “The Do’s & Don’ts in a Short Turn Around Green Restoration Project” will be covered by Jerry Kershasky of Reinders, Inc., Eric Baumeister of The Toro Company will provide hints for “Troubleshooting Electrical and Hydraulic System Problems;” Drew Tedford of FX Luminaire Lighting is heading a seminar about “Exterior Lighting for Clubhouses, Resorts & Large Estates;” Bruce Nelson of Armada Technologies will provide insights into “Advanced Tracking Techniques for Locating Wires and Valves;” Bruce Schweiger of the University of Wisconsin will discuss “Turf Guard™ An Everyday Application of a Soil Monitoring System” and “Harnessing Multiple Generations in the Workforce” will be explored by Steve Drake of the SCD Group.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win the show grand prize package consisting of a drone and camera. Reinders has hosted this conference and tradeshow every other year since 1973. It brings together nationally known speakers, enlightening seminars and a variety of industry manufacturers all in one place. The latest research, education, equipment and products for green industry professionals in the golf, lawn care, landscape, sports turf, park, school and municipal markets will be found at the show.
