Turfgrass researchers have for decades sought to find an effective sprayable solution to help manage thatch accumulation on golf courses. More recently, the specific thatch-degrading enzyme Laccase has been shown to significantly reduce thatch by breaking down lignin — the hard-to-degrade component in thatch. In this session, we will dive into how this new Laccase technology works along with how it has been developed into the new sprayable product Thatch Zyme through golf course and university field trials.
