Santa Fe has a lot to be proud of, and our golf course is such a great gem, the future looks like a hole-in-one!”

“Working with the onsite managers and team, we are excited for the opportunity to enhance the experience at Links de Santa Fe,” Troon Regional Director of Operations Bill Colgan said. “The staff is committed to providing great service and improving course conditions in 2024 and beyond. We look forward to welcoming Santa Fe residents and numerous visitors this golf season.”

Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe is named after Santa Fe native Marty Sanchez. Sanchez was the son of Lee Sanchez Jr., whose love for golf was passed along to all four of his children. By grade school, the younger Sanchez was winning tournaments across New Mexico, and was later a star golfer at Santa Fe High, earning a scholarships to New Mexico Junior College and Western New Mexico University. After college, Marty moved back to Santa Fe and began learning the basics of course management. Sanchez died of cancer in 1992 at 25. Shortly after Marty’s passing, former Santa Fe mayor Sam Pick promised the Sanchez family that the city would one day name a golf course after Marty. His namesake course opened in 1998.
