Woodland Hills CC tabs Troon for management needs

95-year-old Southern California club has a culture rooted in the music industry.

Troon has been selected to manage Woodland Hills Country Club, a private club located in Woodland Hills, California. Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will oversee golf, club and food and beverage operations, as well golf course agronomy and membership marketing.

Located in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains in the west San Fernando Valley, Woodland Hills Country Club is located minutes from Los Angeles, northern Los Angeles County and east Ventura County. With a rich history dating back to 1925, Woodland Hills features a William “Billy” Bell Sr.-designed golf course. The par 70 layout is known for quick rounds, fast greens, narrow fairways lined with oak trees, and for being fun and easy to walk.

The course has hosted several regional and USGA sectional tournaments, including the Western Regional for the USGA Mid-Amateur Championship, qualifying for the USGA Junior Amateur Championship and qualifying for the California State Senior Amateur Championship.

“Troon is a recognized leader in club operations, agronomy and marketing,” Woodland Hills Country Club owner Ryan Ogulnick said. “Troon will undoubtedly help us improve our overall club experience, while offering additional benefits to our members.”

Woodland Hills has a culture rooted in the music industry with many members still actively involved and regularly contributing the club’s member concert series.
