Troon announced it has been selected to manage The Club at Hammock Beach, a 36-hole private-resort in Palm Coast, Florida. Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will oversee the golf operations, golf shop merchandising, golf course agronomy and club/membership marketing.
The Club at Hammock Beach features the Jack Nicklaus-designed Ocean Course and the Conservatory Course, a Tom Watson Signature Design. The Ocean Course has six holes that play along the Atlantic Ocean. The Ocean Course concludes with a thrilling finale dubbed "The Bear Claw" — a collection of four daunting holes precariously edging the sweeping coastline. The Conservatory Course is highlighted by waterfalls, streams and veneered field stone work. In addition to the 140 sand and coquina bunkers, Watson also added three sod-faced bunkers, a nod to his affinity for British links-style golf.
“The opportunity to manage a tremendous property like The Club at Hammock Beach is very exciting,” Troon COO Bruce Glasco said. “Our Troon Privé management team will now look to further elevate the already tremendous operations at Hammock Beach. We are confident that our management practices and dedication to outstanding service will make an already exceptional property even better.”
The Club at Hammock Beach is part of the Hammock Beach Club community; a luxury resort experience and a family-friendly neighborhood environment, all connected by walking paths and sidewalks, and set on the Atlantic Ocean.
“We elected to partner with Troon to significantly elevate the member and guest experience at Hammock Beach,” said Greg Ogle, partner, KDG Capital a Florida-based real estate private equity firm and new owners of The Club at Hammock Beach. “Troon’s track record of managing other courses for us has proven their vision and focus in providing the premier golfing experience. Additionally, Troon’s vast array of resources is simply incredible."
