Top 10 Things to Know About Lynx Drive

  1. Released in July 2025, Lynx Drive is Toro’s next-generation irrigation golf management software. The platform features a mobile-first design, allowing users control via smartphone, tablet or desktop with equal ease. The development process included creating iOS and Android apps specifically for phones and tablets separate from the desktop version.
  2. Superintendent input shaped the formation of Lynx Drive. The team responsible for creating Lynx Drive sought feedback from existing Lynx Central Control system users as well as industry professionals not using the system.
  3. Lynx Drive streamlines irrigation decision-making among a golf course maintenance team by supporting transparent real-time field collaboration regardless of location on the course. Lynx Drive allows users to spend more time in their preferred working setting — out on the golf course.
  4. Users can turn programs on or off, modify cycles or change schedules from a phone or tablet without returning to a central computer. No office trips are required to perform auditing tasks such as updating sprinkler types, nozzle specs or arc adjustments.
  5. New Lynx Smart Notes boosts internal communication through the ability to flag stations, attach photos and track updates for up to one year. Incorporating device names into Smart Notes helps identify who on your team performed tasks.
  6. Inserting time-stamped photos into Smart Notes provides visual details to address irrigation issues and document fixes.
  7. The interactive map displays live irrigation status, system alerts and Smart Notes in real time. Bidirectional maps allow users to select stations from a list or directly from the map.
  8. All essential tools are integrated into one screen. Users can see what’s scheduled to irrigate, including run times and water amount, for each program, hole and station without toggling between multiple screens.
  9. Additional communication features include diagnostic alerts before irrigation interruptions happen, weather station integration, handheld remote interface support and pump integration with leading pump manufacturers.
  10. Lynx Drive is currently available to active National Support Network (NSN) customers who are using a Lynx Smart Module (LSM) 2-wire system. Satellite and hybrid compatibility will follow in future releases.
