New York course unveils result of Rees Jones-guided renovation

The Summit Club at Armonk receives three new back-nine holes as part of the project.

The Summit Club at Armonk celebrated the official grand opening of its Rees Jones-renovated golf course with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and inaugural tournament for members and invited guests.

"We are pleased with the responses we have heard from the golfers and how much they are enjoying the changes and improvements to The Summit Club at Armonk,” Jones said. “Our objective was to bring the golf experience to a level that complements the natural beauty of the site and stunning views of the countryside."

The most significant improvements on the New York course include three new holes on the back nine, the rebuilding of all fairway and greenside bunkers, and the adjustment of some bunker locations to give players additional shot options. Several greens complexes were added to provide new greenside chipping areas, and multiple landing zones were created on a few holes to improve their playability.  The range and practice facilities also were upgraded and a new short game area was added.
