Planet Turf announced it has named Shane Hughes regional representative for the Inland Northwest Region. Hughes will be serving customers in the greater Tri-Cities area, southeastern Washington, eastern Oregon and southern Idaho.
Hughes earned turfgrass management degrees from Washington State University and Walla Walla Community College. He has 15 years of golf course experience and has maintained everything from native soil to established turf. The Club at Black Rock, Palouse Ridge Golf Club, Meadow Springs Country Club and Zintel Creek Golf Club are among the courses where Hughes has worked. He supports numerous industry associations, currently holds board positions on the Inland Empire GCSA and the Northwest Turfgrass Association and was a 2022 GCSAA Melrose Leadership Academy recipient.
