The 2019 Penn State Golf Turf Conference, scheduled slated for Nov. 19-21, will provide practical information on golf course management to practitioners, industry representatives and students.

The conference, which will be held at The Nittany Lion Inn in State College, will feature presentations by United States Golf Association agronomists, university faculty, golf course superintendents, industry representatives, graduate students and others.

They will discuss topics including approaches to weed control, fairway regrassing, managing low-light issues on the golf course, and fungicide updates. In addition to the educational offerings, there will be a job fair, a Turf Club luncheon and an open reception.

Among the highlights of the event is a pre-conference seminar with Armen Suny of Kopplin Kuebler & Wallace, who will speak on how best to present oneself to potential employers, what clients are looking for and preparing for an interview.
