Hocking International adds two, promotes two

Among the new hires is former golf course superintendent Eric Skorich.

Private label manufacturer Hocking International added management and sales resources to its commercial organization.

Scott Messer was promoted to director of the agriculture business unit. Messer has worked in this role since January and has overseen growth of the ag business segment. He joined Hocking International five years ago.

Joe Enciso was recently promoted to director of the turf and ornamentals business unit. A veteran of the T&O industry, Enciso has worked for Hocking International for six years.

“Scott and Joe are both experts in their respective industries and are very capable leaders,” chief commercial officer Mark Auchampach said. “As Hocking continues to grow and expand to meet the needs of our customers, having business unit leaders with their experience and capabilities will be critical to our success.”

Hocking International also added new sales personnel to its team commercial team.

Eric Skorich recently joined Hocking as an area sales manager based in Columbus, Ohio. Skorich will be responsible for turf and ornamental sales in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. Skorich joins Hocking most recently from Bayer Environmental Science and is a Certified Class A Golf Course Superintendent. Skorich will report to Enciso as part of Hocking’s T&O team.

Jeremy Buhl joined the company as an area sales manager responsible for expanding in the Midwest. Buhl joined Hocking in late 2021, having previously worked in the ag industry for PBI-Gordon, Nilefos West and Farmland Industries. He is based in Papillion, Nebraska, and will report to Scott Messer as part of the ag team.

Hocking International Laboratories, LLC is a chemical manufacturer providing R&D, innovation, specialty chemical manufacturing, and private-label custom packaging for the agricultural and turf & ornamental markets. The company is privately owned and headquartered in Houston with three facilities across the country, and specializes in innovative liquid fertilizers, nitrogen stabilizers, foliar micronutrients, adjuvants and surfactants, and utility products.
