KALO appoints new sales & marketing specialist

Brett Henson joins the company with over 10 years of turf experience.

KALO, Inc., a leading supplier of specialty chemicals for the professional turf and agricultural markets, today announced the hiring of Brett Henson as sales and marketing specialist.  Initially, Henson will focus on growing KALO’s sales and distribution in the professional turf maintenance sector.

“In his new capacity, Brett will be responsible for supporting existing sales in our Professional Products Division while recruiting new distributors and investigating new product opportunities,” stated Chuck Champion, president of KALO, Inc.  “While we expect him to be instrumental in building our professional turf business, we’re also encouraged by his potential to contribute to our agricultural business as he becomes acclimated with our product line and customers.”

“I’m very excited about joining the sales and marketing team at KALO,” noted Henson.  “Having been involved in the professional turf industry for more than 10 years, I have firsthand knowledge of KALO’s line of wetting agents, adjuvants and other specialty chemicals.  It’s a first-class organization with a growing line of top-quality products and I look forward to helping KALO become an even greater force in the turf care market in the years to come.

Henson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture/Turfgrass Science at Iowa State University and most recently worked in sales and customer support for Ryan Lawn & Tree and a GPS equipment company, both in the Kansas City area.  Prior his move to Kansas City, he gained valuable experience as a technician and assistant superintendent with Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, WI, Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA, and Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta.  Henson is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and maintains turf and structural pest control licenses in the states of Kansas and Missouri.
