Four years ago, Champion Hills Club’s golf course underwent a huge overhaul, re-grassing the greens and making renovations to keep the course in tip-top shape.

Thanks to the hard work, dedication and pride of its staff, the course looks the same as it did when it reopened in the fall of 2006 after the renovation, and unlike many courses hit by the tough economy, its business is still booming.

“The Club, financially, is doing extremely well, said general manager and chief operating officer Saeed Assadzandi. “The Club has no debt, and on the property owner side and the club side, we have substantial reserves. As for membership, we’ve added 30 new members to the Club since September of 2009.”

The top-notch crew is still intact with Assadzandi, head golf professional Jon Rector and head golf course superintendent Alan Burnette.

“Jon and Alan are just too good. We won’t let them go anywhere,” Assadzandi said. “The staff is very well-treated by the Club members, and I believe that’s one reason our staff has the longevity that it does. People who come to work here usually stay a long time. The newest department head we have right now has been here five years.”
