Global Turf Equipment has hired Garry Callahan as director of strategic accounts.
Callahan, who most recently served as a regional manager for Jacobsen, will create value for GTE customers by strategizing best purchasing practices and aligning operational efficiencies. In the past year, Global Turf Equipment has expanded domestic sales team and added distribution networks in Europe, Asia and Africa.
"Garry has an unbelievable work ethic that will serve our customers well,” said Jim Sartain, CEO of GTE. “He has decades of experience in the turf industry, and that knowledge, coupled with his dedication to the customer, is an ideal combination.”
Based outside Tampa, GTE showcases 400-600 “like new” machines across several warehouses totaling more than 35,000 square feet. Offering savings of up to 50 percent on products from brand leaders like Toro, John Deere, Jacobsen and Club Car, its inventory includes fairway green and rough mowers; top dressers and spreaders; trim mowers; turf aerators, sprayers, vacuums and blowers; utility vehicles and more.
